  • Mastering the precise rendition of Swaras (notes)
  • Introduction to Alankars (musical patterns) for vocal agility
  •  Combining Swaras and Alankars for melodic expression

5: Introduction to Indian Classical Compositions

  •  Learning traditional Indian classical compositions (Bandish)
  •  Understanding the structure and theme of compositions
  •  Emphasis on proper pronunciation and phrasing

6: Improvisation and Manodharma

  •  Introduction to improvisation techniques (Alap, Taan, Sargam)
  •  Developing creativity within the framework of Ragas
  •  Understanding the concept of Manodharma in Indian classical music

7: Bhajans and Devotional Music

  •  Learning popular Bhajans and their meanings
